Hi everyone. I found your website through the Forza forums, specifically searching info about clubs in FM4.
I am SUPER excited about the game, and the new features they are bringing to Forza. I have never been very excited about online racing, mostly due to being PIT maneuvered at the start of races and being called a faggot noob by a 10 year old. There's only so much pre-pubescent screeching you can take before getting fed up. I love the concept of a club dedicated to clean (realistic) racing. I can't imagine anyone in the real world is mashing their Reventon into a CCX just to get a few extra car lengths around a turn, so I don't want to see that in my "pretending to be a racecar driver" simulation.
A bit about myself: I'm 29, living in CA. I have had a love for cars since as long as I can remember. I've played pretty much every racing video game I could get my hands on, from the early arcade days (Spy Hunter, Ivan Ironman Stewart's Super Off-Road, Outrun, etc.), early console days (Rad Racer, RC Pro-Am) through the current crop of amazing games. I remember playing the original Need for Speed on my parents' old 486, and having to make a DOS bootdisk to allocate the proper amount of memory to get the game running. Fast forward quite a few years, but I still remember the feeling I had when seeing GT3 for the first time on a Best Buy demo unit. After playing GT1 & GT2 to death (and thinking they looked amazing), GT3 absolutely left me speechless. I just stood there and stared, before picking my jaw up off of the floor.
Now that I'm an "official" adult, it really just means that I can spend more money on toys. My (wonderful) wife bought me a Forza 3 edition Playseat & MS wireless wheel for Christmas one year, and I haven't looked back. Coupled with a surround sound setup, it's really a better experience than any arcade I've ever been in. I mean, how often can you mash around the 'Ring with a beer in your hand? I must admit that I've been drooling over a Fanatec wheel & pedal setup with the clutch & shifter, but that one might be difficult to get past the wife!
That all being said, I'd love to race with you guys & finally get some use out of an XB Live subscription (which ran out 4 months ago, and I still have found no reason to renew...)
I'm not sure if there's some sort of process to join, or if I need to do anything else, but let me know... I'm not an elite racer, by any means, but I can hold my own & definitely always have fun racing. Hopefully that works as credentials!

PS. If you didn't get the post title, it's from a Brian Regan bit. One of the funniest comedians ever... can't recommend him enough.

to think of the amount of pocket money i threw into outrun arcade cabinets only to then enjoy it on a computer (albeit one with the same chip new calculators employ). im far below epic/elite driver status, but have always felt safe here from first corner ramming/pit manouvers/people slagging me of for being slow. accidents do happen and thats the racing genre in total. gaming or otherwise. but Mach have the dignity to realise an error if it happens and deal with it accordingly, in a gentlemanly fashion. but its a racing game and we all want to win. i just never have
. . . yet (cue evil laugh)
