Schedule: Races will be 1 hour long. Races will occur on Thursday at 19:30 EST. There will be a 5 lap qualifying session before the race and an optional 30 minute qualify the week before the race at your choice.
3 madotory pits in specific pit windows.( minutes: After the first 5-15, 25-35. 45-55).
Constructors table will be available aswell. Only the highest placed car will score points for the team.
If a car roles it’s a caution. (Cautions are explained in detail below) if the car is off the track we will resume. If not then the race will be red flagged and restarted in the positions we were in before had, with the driver who rolled out of the race
CAUTIONS
What brings out a caution?
If a caution period is called when two or more cars are involved in an incident/wreck.
A minor bump where only one car flies off the circuit is not a caution, unless he/she has rolled or unable to come off the race track or make it to the pits.
If two cars end up spinning and ending up facing the wrong way on the track this is a caution. A crash in the first 5 miles of race is a restart.
Important – as I can’t see what what’s going on everywhere on track. We have to trust you that when you call a caution it is legit. Replays will be watched and If doesn’t fit into any of the rules above then both parties of the crash will be given 0 points for that race
What happens in a caution period?
We will pick up the leader in LMP. They shall slow down to 80 mph. GT will continue to race to the back of the LMP’s.
When everyone has bunched up, the pits will be open for LMP’s to pit. If you have already pitted and don’t need to pit, proceed to run around again.
On the next lap pits will be open for GT’s. Like with LMP if you don’t need to pit, proceed to follow the field around again. After this the GTs will make their way to the back of the field. If you don’t need to pit continue at 80mph
After this will have a pass by if necessary. This isn’t so people can unlap themselves. This is so the leader in class is in the front of their class in the restart.
Etc if 5th place in GT catches the LMP first. He waits behind the LMP. As the GT leader catches up they will be behind that car in 5th.after all the pits. The pass by will allow him to go around at an increased pace to get the lap he lost in the caution period and get to the back of the field. He still loses out but it means he’s still in contention.
Caution restarts will be single file
These Rules will mean caution periods will be dull long and boring am afraid but these are used in the real American Le Mans Series. You did want realism right?
Other Rules
As stated earlier, restarts will happen if there is a caution/wreck/crash between two or more cars in the first 5 miles of the race. If the same car has caused a crash 3 times in a row, they will be black flagged and not allowed to race.
There will be a maximum of 5 restarts after that then if you’re out you’re out.
Interclass crashes will be heavily looked at. GT cars not suppose to come off there racing lines for LMP’s meaning it’s their job to get around safely and efficiently. If you can’t make the past then you simply have to wait. That’s endurance racing.
If you receive damage in a race and back out. You will receive no points as this is classed as a Retirement. In the ALMS, there are no points for DNF’s. if you choose to ride it out fair play to you as you never know who might lag out the race. if you choose to park it and wait for the final time to run out that’s kool. You will get points but please stay way clear off the race track and run off areas.
If you lag out or quit out before half hour mark you will score half points in the order you lagged out in.
Pit windows are now introduced. Pits are only opened after 30 minutes. If you have to pit before this window, then it won’t count as you mandatory pit.
Everyone in the series has to unmute everyone before the race despite your conflicts (You can mute them back after I don’t care then). Muting someone is almost like racing with no mic. When you mute some you don’t know when there talking so at times everyone is talking over each other without knowing and that can get confusing. Iberian was a good example when I was trying to explain the caution period but 3-4 people were talking over me at once not knowing so. It’s also difficult to race against each other especially with LMP drivers needing to call it when passing GT and with caution periods being more complicated now hearing what’s going on is important. I need everyone to hear each other ( smile guys) ![]()
