No Clue whatsoever

Hi there,

i am not sure if this is the right forum to post this, but i could not find forums or threads which answered my questions.
I did spent the last hour and half going throug the forums and respective posts, i made sure to read all the mandatory staff and here is were my questions start.
i am a bit under pressure, because i hope to attend tonights mix race event and i hate not beeing prepared.(potentionally deadly in my real life line of work)
First of all, do i have to purchase that credit coin and if so ,how many of them?
Secondly, the team colors, does every car has to be painted that way, because if so i have to completly change the current car wich i especially designed for this event.

(See Attachment)
And thirdly, could somebody please figure out what time your time in Time Zone GMT+7 is,and add it to the posting of events, because i am not really understanding all the multiple timezones, and i am known to be 24 hours early,(right wes?)
I am really looking forward to tonights event.

Cheers Dirk

Thanks a lot for your input, theres no Mach Racing logo on Mr sharps SF, maybe you can send me one, but i did get your numberplate, and dont worry, i will have references to mach racing. i love designing cars.
If you are right with your time calculation, and i think you are, than that means, at this time mach racing can throw anything at me. Consider me in.

Looking forward to race you guys
Cheers Dirk

Hi mate, the coin was something we toyed with a little while ago to 'reward' people for there finishing position within an event - but we're not using it anymore. As for your paint scheme, it's fine the way it is - you don't have to change anything, perhaps a reference somewhere to Mach Racing (the logo can be had from Sharpers storefront). As far as i can tell GMT + 7 puts your local time somewhere round about 6:30am for the start of the event. See you there if you can make it.

...ah, i would also need a car number, if i can choose, fine, if not just assign me one.

Cheers Dirk

we do not assign numbers Smile just pick a one.

btw..
NAMDAC ... i get so confused.... because you guys are on BST (UTC) .. so it's GMT +1

but then ... for 2 weeks .. i am 4 hours behind .. and then ,.. we switch to daylight saving and it puts it all back to normal ..... so I HATE the way we look at time!

Daylight saving's ADDS an HOUR +1

sooooo.......... EASTERN time 6:30 is BST (GMT +1) 11:30pm

so now.... (GMT -7 is DIRK) is he now GMT -6 because we added an hour) so would that put him online at 5:30am May 26th??????

I am really confused.

i'm as confused as you are Sharper lol. Just checked the world clock and Bangkok (which is in Thailand - free geography lesson for you) is 6 hours ahead of the UK. So to be in the race at 11:30pm (uk time) bigbuddasamui would have to be online at 5:30am in Thailand (bleary eyed and black coffee at the ready lol). My head hurts now - need to lie down hahaha.

.. ah one more thing, i really would like to thank MR Namdac. He was the only one who actually gave a shit about my questions. My introduction is 21 hours old and not one reply.

i believe there is more traffic on a graveyard at midnight than on your website.
Anyway, no hard feelings, just didn't work out. Dirk

Dirk,

For the first time since we started Mach Racing, you are the only member I am Banning from our website.

In response to your post, Both Namdac and I both posted .. explaining the times. I was as confused as you on the timezone issues.

Our website has a decent traffic rate, and I apologize if your response didn't get answered as quickly as you prefer.

In response to "it not working out" with us. It is largely in part of your attitude and conduct during the race. We are a small "club" of online racers, who have (for over 2 years now) been hosting our own events.. some of which work, and a few that have not.

This is the first time we have ever had a "New" member throw, what i would call, a TANTRUM during the race. Your main (and only justifiable) argument was that you had issues with the CPU drivers (which we only threw in to fill the lobby and give a bigger payout). No other member had issues with this.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience, and if you would have just accepted a little responsibility in your DRIVING skill...and not blamed members for your outcome, I would have just let it slide. But you didn't. Which is why, for the first time, I spoke up an became angry. (And I apologize for that)

But, you will not be invited back to any event we host, and will be banned from the website from here on out.

---this will undoubtedly kill our ETCC friendship, but I will continue to race there. I will make no attempt to badmouth you with the ETCC, and hope you do the same.

--sharper

I think a lot of the problems that Bigbuddasmui had was to do with his connection, he was glitching badly. If you look at the replay (with him as the selected car) you will see that he pulls, what looks like, a 90 degree turn straight into a wall within 30 seconds of him setting off. Damage occurred was substantial and he could / should have made an 'emergency' pitstop to allow repairs to the mechanical parts. He also had communication issues which didn't help at all. However there was no need for him to 'go off on one' because the race wasn't going to his liking - these things happen so he needs to get used to it if he wants to continue racing on-line or he'll continuously get kicked from lobbies. CPU cars are added to races because it's a good way of increases the credits received at the end (helpful for ingame purchases), and also their unpredicatabilty adds to the fun of the race.
