The Online Racing Association (TORA) would like to offer you and your racing  
team, an invitation to participate in our championships and events.
 
TORA is a class leader in the field of motorsport simulation and virtual  
racing.
 
Since February 2008 we have held over 140 race meetings over multiple  
disciplines that have seen nearly 2,000 entrants. Over the past 26 months, we  
have grown from a casual replica championship, into a Governing Body for  
currently 12 unique championships and 4 one off special events in 2010,  
having successfully run 16 championships and 13 events over the last 2 years.  
Our goal is to maintain a professional environment for our members to  
experience 'life inside a racing series'.
 
 
As an incentive for teams, once you as team owner gain your Full Racing  
Licence, all other members of your team will be fast tracked through the  
application system.
Additionally, the team owner will be able to 'block reserve' racing number  
numbers for his team. (e.g a team who currently has 20 members may reserve  
numbers 250-300.)
 
TORA is proving to be THE place to be for online racing and media exposure  
with our close ties with the real motorsport world.
There has never been a better time to get involved.

I definitely think this sounds legit. I just need to get my xbox back, which i should be getting this weekend, so Kykkle, I wont be able to race on Friday night, I don't think.

i don't doubt that this is legit or not, it's just that i saw that forum, and they need to pull their heads out of their rear bumpers and come together. but aight man, sounds good, i'll let ifca know what's up. should you be able to get on this weekend so we can practice?

I'm still out for this weekend. I think Saturday I will be picking up my xbox. SO, next week I will be able to start working on setups with you guys. ^-^

so yea. just checked out their stock car divison. or should i say lack of one. jesus christ, do they even know a damn thing about stock cars in general? seriously, check that page out

maybe with a little help from you, hellbent, menonite and Mess .. they can actually get a real one started .. and maybe at a normal hour for us americans.

Everyone will need to fill out the same form as you have done. However once you have received your full licence, by proving you are a sensible and clean racer (I do not think this will be a problem). All members of Mach Racing, will automatically receive their full licences when they sign up, and therefore be eligible to score team points straight away. The thinking behind this is that, the licence system to there to filter out or help improve racers that are not suitable to our environment. Your members have already gone through this filter when joining YOUR organisation, so it is not needed twice.

So after looking through the site, I've determined that this would be pretty cool. They have a lot of different events, and it seems as though they are daily.

Every event is set up around 8pm GMT thought (which is 3pm my time).  So, the team leader (on their site) can get a "FULL" license and the all of us will automatically be full members.  ...ok, ok, so... I'm asking that Neuro be the "leader" of this?  reasons:  constantly winning our events / participates TONS  (only set back I think:  they take points OFF the license if you fail to give room when driving . . like giving up your line if someone is next to you :)   )  But I don't think that will be an issue when neuro is 2000 ft ahead Smile

 

thoughts? (oh and everyone, go sign up)
