That was a top-notch write-up Fury - enjoyed reading it and look forward to the next instalment(
. Definitely puts a new interesting feature to the event.
This is the first part of a 3 part series for the Grand Prix of Iberia.

It all started with a beautiful day for the race, the first heat of the Grand Prix of Iberia. The race started clean enough. Those that were in this heat were Fonts, Fury, Kykle, Hellbent, and Namdac.

As Hellbent, followed closely by fonts, pulled away from the field, our rookie contender, kykle, found the track interesting as he slides wide in the turn five sweeping hairpin. This is just one example of the many slight misshaps that you will see in the future for the entire field.

Being fifteen laps, there was more than enough room for error. Everyone seemed to take a little time to get a feel for the track. Here's Namdac sliding off the tarmac for a brief stint at the infamous turn 9. This was a dangerous spot (from turns 6 to 9) all night as it claimed many drivers.

Patience for all drivers was tried and tested as Fury slows down to attempt to avoid Namdac coming back on the track. luckily, the incident was slight.

Hellbent and Fonts pulled out to an early lead. This eventually leads to Hellbent submitting to the faster Fonts without any incident, a very responsible move that Hellbent exhibited.

kykle and Namdac battled it out through most of the race. Every lap, someone else was ahead.

As you can see, the battle between Namdac and kykle became very heated. Both drivers were careful not to take each other out, but a variety of racing moves were put to the test. You know what they say, Rubbins' Racin'!

Midway through the race, a horrific accident occurred involving Hellbent. He overshot the dangerous 6th corner and found out the hard way that it's not too good for the car to hit the wall. After this, he runs directly into the pits and waits it out in last position.

With hellbent out of the way, Namdac, Kykle, and Fury battle it out for third. Fury, originally being in the back, caught up with the others after they had been racing side by side, lap after lap.

His attempts prove futile, as Fury hits the wall after gaining position. Fury drops back, but stays in the chase.

The battle hardened and scarred warriors stay in pursuit for the prize. Namdac eventually pulls away from the fray.

Other cars on the track are not the only things to pay attention to. This is the infamous turn six that has already claimed many. With fury in hot pursuit, kykle push his Audi R8 to its limits and uses as much of the track as possible as the race winds down to its final laps.

With the race winding down, a hug collision involving kykle, fury, and turn six's wall cause a stir in the action.

Fury quickly throws it in the pits as kykle, chased by the recovering hellbent, pass by.

With just a few laps to go, patiences disappears as hellbent is eager to get by the limping car of kykle. Some rough/exciting driving maneuvers are executed this late in the race. This specific incident cause kykle a great deal of time and allowed fury to catch back up.

After the incident with hellbent, kykle find menonitefury in his rear view. Racing with the heart of a champion, kykle is seen with menonite looming in the distance. A look of determination is seen on kykle's face.

With less that 3 laps to go, menonite recovers from a half lap deficit. On the last lap, both drivers are pushed to their limits. Though they may not be the most skilled on the team, these two drivers proved that they race with their hearts and leave nothing at home. At this point(less than one lap to go), its get up or shut up.

This is a shot of the final turn on the final lap. With just one small mistake, it ends up a heartbreak for kykle, but fury is the comeback kid.
The final position summary of the first heat:
1. Mr Fonts
2. MR Namdac
3. Mr Hellbent
4. Menonitefury
5. Kykle
What a great race guys, I personally feel that kykle deserved that fourth spot. He's a great driver and I hope to see him out on the track more often. Please leave your comments. Part 2 is coming soon as I get a replay of Heat 2 from one of the guys in the other room.
Pretty f'n sweet fury! I will try to throw up some pics from our qualifying.

man that race was freakin nuts. i hate that chicane, but it was definitely fun. great racing namdac and fury, that really put me to my test in those chicanes.
Enjoyed reading that as I sit here at half fucking 6 in the morning drinking my scolding hot brew knowing that I have to jump on a bus to wok in around 15 minutes. I've been awake for ten,.. well apparently they call it *awake* but I really don't agree with that until it's mid day.
Looks like you guys had some fun out there, can't wait to check out the next part! And defo gonna have to rewatch some of the races!
